Goodday,
My name is Sebastiaan Horn. I am 35 years old and living in Den Helder, a coast city (and home of the royal Dutch Navy) in the Netherlands. I’ve been running since I was 15. I started with 10 mile races and half marathons. In 2013 I started open water swimming and doing long distance cycling and after that I got hooked on doing triathlons. After that I put everything together and started doing triathlon. I totally fell in love with this sport. It has everything; endurance, tactics, the tri-community; I can’t imagine a life without it. This year I am training for the Ironman of Maastricht. Endurance adventures means the world to me. I love to challenge myself to the max and show people that everything is possible; you just have to put your mind into it. Especially since my beloved wife past away last year it is a way to deal with my feelings; swimming, cycling or running is some kind of therapy to me. I can’t wait to run up the red carpet and enjoy the feeling of being a triathlete. It is what keeps me going and makes me stronger as a person every day.
